Modern China Medicine Teaching Center and Modern China Medicine Diagnostic and Treatment Center inaugurated


Modern China Medicine Teaching Center and Diagnostic and Treatment Center were inaugurated at Fuda Cancer Hospital in the morning of May 28, 2016. Medium echelon cadres of Fuda Cancer Hospital, disciples and fans of Modern China Medicine witnessed this grand moment. Zuo Jiansheng, President of Guangzhou Fuda Medical Co., Ltd, Xu Kecheng, Chief President of Fuda Cancer Hospital, Prof. Zeng Zongyuan, Honorary President of Fuda Cancer Hospital, Prof. Li Chaolong, founder of Modern China Medicine together unveiled the nameplates of Modern China Teaching Center, Modern China Medicine Center for Parkinson’s Disease Treatment, Modern China Medicine Center for Infertility Treatment and Modern China Medicine Center for Ankylosing Spondylitis Treatment.

Prof. Li Chaolong said passionately, “The inauguration of Modern China Medicine Teaching Center and three diagnostic and treatment center at Fuda Cancer Hospital cannot do without the great attention paid by the management of FUDA.”

He introduced that Modern China Medicine is designed to develop the medicine and bring benefits to the people and simplify and popularize medical knowledge among the mass. The main idea of Modern China Medicine includes yin and yang (theory of knowledge); Jing (Element), Qi (Gas), Shen (Nerve), Xue (Blood), Shui (Water) (theory of structure); Ying(surplus), Kui(deficiency), Du(toxicity), Jie(coagulation) and Zu(obstruction) (theory of disease); Qing (clearing), Bu(supplementing) and Yun(moving) (theory of recuperative medical care). In a word, modern China medicine is designed to apply the rules of clearing, supplementing and moving to regulating the symptoms of surplus, deficiency, toxicity, coagulation and obstruction caused by the yin-yang imbalance between spirit, energy, vigor, blood and water.

Prof. Xu Kecheng called upon the medical staffs to learn Modern China Medicine and advocated to open study courses of Modern China Medicine with the purpose of carrying forward the essence of Modern China Medicine and establishing a Modern China Medicine Fo Kwang Mountain that can be compared to the one established by Grand Master Hsing Yun in Taiwan.

Mr. Liu Jianguo, General Manager of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital noted Prof. Li Chaolong has an intense fondness for traditional Chinese medicine. In the past decade or more, Li Chaolong has devoted himself to studying TCM and established a new medical theoretical system-Modern China Medicine. On August 18, 2014, his book Modern China Medicine was published. Featured for its simplicity, convenience, inexpensiveness and effectiveness, Modern China Medicine has infused fresh blood to Chinese traditional medicine. He hopes that Prof. Li Chaolong can carry forward the spirit of innovation so that modern China medicine could bring benefits to more people.

Expert profile

Li Chaolong: graduated from Sun Yet-Sun University of Medical Studies. Once served as the director of General Surgery Department, Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Vascular Surgery Department at Nanfang Hospital of 1st Military Medical University, he currently serves as the chief specialist in general surgery and hepatobiliary surgery and honorary president of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital. He also serves as the chairman of expert committee of the health channel of China Education Network Television.

He wrote and published China’s first monograph Liver Transplantation in 1989. In 1996, he successfully operated Asia's first abdominal multiple organs transplantation, which has won him the reputation of “The No. 1 Surgeon in Asia”. In the past decade or more, Li Chaolong has devoted himself to studying TCM and established a new medical theoretical system-Modern China Medicine.
